Get Involved

The Yale Club has a number of Interest Verticals that help plan the variety of events that we host for our alumni, and provide the backbone of the services that we provide to our Bay Area alumni.

Our Verticals are a great way to get involved, as you may select the topic and time commitment that best suit you. You'll join a team of alums working together to make things happen! Join us!

Our current Verticals include

Arts and Culture

The vertical will focus on encouraging and enabling Yale Alums to attend a variety of art events in San Francisco and the East Bay. Theater, opera, ballet, symphony, jazz, and other performances, as well museum and film-related activities are some examples of the cultural events this committee encompasses.

Community Service

The vertical aims to engage Yale Alums in various forms of community service including, but not limited to: Yale Day of Service, volunteering at the SF Food Bank, and other local charitable institutions, service fellowships, political volunteering, and education-related community service activities.

Business / Professional Networking

The vertical will focus on forging business-focused networks among Yale Alums, as well as on providing opportunities for their professional development through social and educational events.

Food / Drink

The vertical will focus on organizing and facilitating events that expand Yale Alums' culinary horizons and allow them to enjoy good company over good food and/or drink. These events may include tastings of various sorts, cooking classes, food crawls, tours of breweries and wineries, and educational food-related activities, among many others.

Young Alum / Sports

The vertical will focus on events tailored to Young Alum interests, as well as on organized sports events watching. Young Alum activities such as dodgeball tournaments, happy hours, and pub crawls are some of the many activities organized and facilitated by this vertical.

Tech / Entrepreneurship

The vertical will focus on all tech-related and most of the entrepreneurship-related events, including conferences, seminars, lectures, etc.

Health / Wellness

The vertical focuses on organizing and promoting fitness and wellness-related events, such as yoga classes, hiking trips, healthy living workshops, among many others.
